Great content that you can watch on your own pace... Recommended to any teaching pro
So far, I really like the instructional aspects of the course. There seems to be a lag in response to folks that ask questions on the site...this is an area I think that could be better. Over all, I am pleased with the content.
All I have red and seen so far I like.
Unfortunately the foreign language makes me slower than I had hoped.
But at the end of the day, it will certainly be good if I can teach well in two languages.
Best regards, Martin
After many years of helping others get control of their swing and address their swing flaws, (as an amateur) the time came to be a professional instructor/coach. I loved that the course confirmed much of the advice I had given for years and the technological side confirmed most of my knowledge of my launch monitor video and data points. The GLE1 certification added an needed level of credibility and I am looking forward to Level 2 in the not too distant future.
I love this game and have always desired a way to get involved in it from a professional standpoint. I’m so thankful Golfzon Leadbetter created an opportunity to do so. The education is top notch. The information provided by David Leadbetter, Sean Hogan, and more is incredible. I can’t wait to continue learning through more courses. And more importantly I can’t wait to help others get in to this game.
I felt that the Principals the David and the guys teach are spot on. Sometimes they have to be modified for people who have had injuries or are up in age, but they principals are solid. If I had one concern, it would be that some of the questions on the assessments were worded differently than the presentations. I had to watch the presentations and print out all the material to get the gest of what the question was asking. After I went through all of it several times, I still had to just guess at some of them. I have be coaching highschoolers for almost 20 years and I do think that this class has given me a more analytical approach to teaching. I think it will make me a better teacher. I intend to continue with the next 2 sections as soon as I can afford the fees. Hopefully in the next couple of months. I would like to go as far as I can with this program. It will even sharpen my skills as a player trying to make the Champions Tour.
As I pursue my career in teaching and coaching, I find the simplicity of this program very beneficial. The ability to simplify the learning process translates to effective coaching methods and creates an environment of wanting to pursue more knowledge.
My experience with GLE has been incredibly rewarding and ended up becoming the beginning of a much bigger journey for me. I originally pursued the certification because I wanted to better understand the golf swing and become more effective at helping golfers improve.
The education, structure, and coaching philosophy I gained through GLE gave me the confidence to begin working more seriously with golfers and helped shape how I think about instruction and player development.
That journey has now taken an exciting next step. In September, I’ll be opening Apex Golf Lab, a new indoor golf performance facility in Bristol, Connecticut, where I’ll be able to combine coaching with technology, data-driven practice, club fitting, and year-round golf.
Looking back, earning my GLE certification was an important first step toward something I never imagined I’d be doing when I started. I’m grateful for the experience and excited to carry what I’ve learned into this next chapter.
I enjoyed the vast amount of information. Unfortunately, I moved through too fast and took too few notes, therefore, my Assessment levels were low. I want to start the program over and take more time, if this is possible?
Thank you,
Marlene Robinson
Very thorough, loved the book the golf swing. I’ve never read it before, and I opened up my eyes to so much and I love the 10 Commandments of Golf probably my favorite part basically just being a good human being in person and teaching instead of deflating. I’m about 80% of the way through and I couldn’t feel any better about my knowledge.
I'm about halfway through Level 1.
The course is good. The information is presented well and generally useful. The video analysis section is a bit dated. The tools of the trade today are smart phones and iPads. I was expecting a deeper dive into video analysis.
'Radar' is recommended for lessons on the range, yet there is no follow up on how to best use launch monitors and analyze the data.
Overall though, for beginning instructors, this is a good start.
Enjoying the learning.
Lots of the videos I’ve found have issues loading. I’ve been having to switch between devices to see which one loads but so far across phone and tablet have been unable to watch Links 1-3 video, synchronisation video, lesson structure video and the preparation- grip video.
